Veterinary Certificate of Health for Cats and Dogs

As of December 2, 2014, the province of Nova Scotia (under amendments made to the Animal Protection Act) now requires an exam and a Veterinary Certificate of Health for Cats and Dogs be signed by a veterinarian before the sale of any dog or cat in the province of Nova Scotia. Please print a copy of this form by clicking on the above link and bring it with you to your appointment. To receive the reduced fee for this service, all CURRENT OWNER AND PET INFORMATION SHOULD BE FILLED OUT IN BLUE PEN BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT.

NOTE: The exam cannot be completed, and the veterinarian cannot sign the form until this information is complete. This form is good for 6 months once it has been filled out but is only good for one sale.

Dear Clients,

We are happy to welcome all clients back inside our hospital! Here is what to expect when you visit our hospital:

1. Face masks are now only required in the exam rooms.

2. Please email your order request to prescriptions@southshorevetservices.ca as our phone lines are very busy. Please include your pet’s name, the client name on file and the phone number on file as well as specific medications/food needed. We require 24 business hours for processing prescription refills.

3. We are now allowing clients to come in to the hospital to pick up orders that require payment.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are looking forward to seeing you all again.
