Pre-Purchase Examinations

Pre-purchase examinations are performed on behalf of a potential buyer. Some or all of the following will be performed depending on the needs of the client:

Complete physical exam.

Lameness Exam – flexion tests, lunge “in-hand” and “under saddle” (if requested).

X-rays – as requested by the client.

Other possible tests may include complete blood work, which evaluates organ function and health, drug testing, rectal exam, ultrasound (for broodmare in particular).

Expect this exam to take anywhere from 1-3 hours, depending on the client’s requests. It can be done in-clinic and on the farm.
