Makenna McPherson, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician
Animals have always been an interest of mine (both farm and small animals). I started kennel attending at South Shore Vet at the age of 15 to get a feel for if the veterinary industry was a good fit for me, and I fell in love with the clinic and the medical aspect of the veterinary world. I graduated from Maritime Business College in 2019 with a diploma in Veterinary Technology with honours. My favourite aspect of veterinary medicine is surgery/anesthetic monitoring. I also enjoy small animal dentistry and farm. I enjoy working with a variety of species and the fact that every day is different. I love the group of people that work within the clinic who can make even the busiest of days good. I feel privileged that I am able to be a part of helping people’s furry family members. Fun fact: I have been to both the top of the Eifel Tower and the Empire State Building!
