Dr. Josh Good comes to Nova Scotia from the States and was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He is an internship-trained veterinarian with experience and passion for emergency medicine, behavior, and the human-animal bond. Dr. Good is a Fear Free certified practitioner who is usually found on the exam room floor with a pet in his lap (regardless of size). He truly loves interacting not only with his patients but his clients to create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all involved.
Dr. Good is coming from Nashville, Tennessee where he was honored to be voted The East Nashvillian's Best Veterinarian both years eligible in 2021 and 2022. He has particular interest and experience in emergencies, behavioral medicine, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. He has immigrated to Nova Scotia with his beautiful wife Bryana Lavery, a jewellery appraiser from Halifax, and their zoo of 2 dogs, 4 cats, & 5 rabbits. He is also involved with Care For the Healer, an organization founded by healers for healers to decrease the stigma surrounding mental health in the medical field, pursuing research into novel treatments, and providing assistance for ourselves, our colleagues, and our communities.
When not working he loves music, movies, nature, hiking, and social activism.
