Emergency After-Hours Triage Line
South Shore Veterinary Hospital is pleased to offer small animal after-hours and emergency assistance to our clients by partnering with VetTriage.
When you have a pet or animal health concern after regular business hours, VetTriage veterinarians are on standby 24 hours a day to assist. For a small fee, you will be connected to the VetTriage veterinarians on a live video chat session.
They will triage your pet and give you at-home care guidance, or if they determine hospital care is necessary, coordinate your visit with the nearest emergency hospital.
Steps to Connect:
- Go to www.vettriage.com/southshore and create an account within seconds. Be sure the mobile device or computer you are using has a camera.
- Follow the instructions on the VetTriage page to purchase and request your session with a vet.
- Immediately begin the video triage session with our DVM. If the case requires immediate intervention, our DVM will coordinate intake with your staff. In non-emergency situations, our DVM will descale, educate, and give at-home care and monitoring advice in preparation for a follow-up visit with your clinic.
A copy of the detailed triage session summary will be sent to you and to us at the vet hospital to be added to your pet’s file.
