Vaccinating your canine friend helps protect them from harmful diseases.
Congratulations! A new puppy is an exciting time. It’s important to give that little one the protection they need to explore their new world! We start the first wellness visit with immunization at 8 weeks and continue every 3 to 4 weeks until they’re completely vaccinated and protected. Please call us to schedule your puppy’s checkup, so we can get them started on the path to good health! Call us at 902-543-5602 for more details about our vaccination services here at South Shore.
Puppies typically get their first round of vaccines when they are weaned between 6 to 8-weeks-old. After the first round of shots, puppies will need to get injections every 2 to 4 weeks until they are about 4-months-old.
Absolutely. These injections have been tested and proven to protect pets from the most common diseases that affect their specific breed. Some side effects can be experienced by patients but they are minor and short-lasting (e.g., nausea, fatigue, vomiting, redness on the injection site).
