Wellness Exam

We know that your philosophy about health care is changing and we are changing our philosophy to match. We have always been a practice centred around prevention, but until now, that has mostly focused around vaccines. While we still believe that vaccines are a large part of preventive medicine, we know, based on current industry recommendations, that we no longer have to give them as often as we once did.

As a result, your pet's annual visit will now be focused around whole health:

general well being

changes in lifestyle

parasite prevention

weight and nutrition

teeth care

skin/coat, heart, joint, teeth and eye health

changes to expect as your pet ages.

vaccines if your pet should need them.

This is our new Wellness Exam.

We have a computerized reminder system so that you do not have to remember when your pet is due for their annual Wellness Exam.  We can send reminders by mail or email.  Just let the front desk know which you would prefer.

During this stage of transition, your patience is appreciated as we make a change to provide improved preventative health care for your pet.  Remember, for each human year your pet ages 6-8; we want to make sure each of those years is the best it can be.

We strive to continue to give you the best, most personalized service that you have come to expect from our doctors and staff.  Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns or feedback.

Read What Our Clients Say

  • "I wanted to thank you again for your help last Friday. There are many animals on my farm. I love them all but I was particularly fond of little Gabby. It was only a couple weeks ago we saw her rolling in the dirt and so delighted with herself and I remember how she loved to lay on Jeff's chair and bat the tail of our other cat as she walked by. I had hoped she could have experienced more of these joys in her life.
Your skill in diagnosing and presenting her case and your compassion in helping me understand what was best for Gabby was very much appreciated."
